Just got one. Is there a charging light?

I just bought one. It is a referb and did not come with a instructions book.
It is plugged in as it came with a dead battery. When I press the power button the screen does come on showing a picture of a dead battery. But nothing else happened. Is there some sort of status light that should be showing me that it is charging? Also shouldn't it work when plugged into the charger rather the battery is dead or not? As you see I'm sending this from my Acer A 100 and not my new Transformer TF 201

There should be a little orange/green charging light somewhere around the power button. (Got rid of my prime a little while ago so I don't remember exactly) And when the battery is completely dead sometimes it takes a little time to charge enough to power on.

I've got one and I don't recall seeing a charging indicator. Mine also came completely dead. Best bet is to turn it off and let it charge for about 6 hours. Then you should be good to go.

Okay. You have to look at the side of the tablet to see the charging light. I feel dumb now but thanks for pointing it out.
