Screen on while charging

Is there any way to get the screen to stay on while charging? I could not find a setting or an app to do this.

I'm looking for something that will only leave the screen on only *while its plugged in*. That setting will leave it on while on battery too and that wont be good.

It amazes me the amount of misinformation one can receive here....

Yes it can be done without messing with the display timeout.

As with ANY android:

Got to settings ->Applications->Development-> check "Stay Awake"
This will keep it ON whlie plugged in but will revert to normal power management when unplugged

Not sure about NOT powering up while charging, I've never had to do that.

I am pretty sure you can power it down once it is plugged in.
