This has got to be the coolist thing! Last night I was playing with my Transformer and noticed it was down to 33% battery. I decided to throw it on the dock because it had a full charge. I walked away from the duo for a couple of hours during dinner and when I came back to them my tablet had a full charge. Neither were plugged in during the whole time. Way to go Asus!

I am glad you are digging this - it was actually a noted feature, but there are so many that we all probably missed one or two.

It's fun when you discover something like this by accident - it's like an easter egg

It is designed to do this. Asus' goal is to ensure that the tablet is charged if you need to disconnect and go commando.

The only small issue is there is a level of inefficiently in the energy transfer so you lose 40% of the dock's charge. That is why you only get an additional 6 hours instead of an additional 10 hours when you add the dock. The batteries inside the table and dock are rated the same.
