contacts stopped

Dear Forum,

I installed contacts dialer.

When I used the resident phone it didn't access contacts

"Unfortunately contacts has stopped"

so I stuck with contacts dialer.

Contacts dialer started losing contacts so I uninstalled and now cannot use phone or contacts.

Would factory reset but don't know how to backup and restore - main problem calndar
