64 GB MicroSDXC card works

Sorry if this is off topic but it has to do with storage.

I recently bought FonePad 8GB. I'm yet to buy a MicroSD card. It's good to know that 64GB can be used, but what about with previous Firmware? I think mine is 3.0.34. Quite old. Will it support 64GB microSD?

Secondly, the main question. When I check the FonePad internal storage, even though it stated 8GB in its spec, I only have 4.47Gb of storage. Means I have lost nearly half of its original storage. Is it only me? Am I being ripped off? Or is it technically normal?

Hope someone can cast a light on this.. Thanks in advance.

Total storage will be 8GB. Your preloaded apps ,OS etc are part of the total 8GB. On the 16GB we only have a bit over 12GB free
