So I downloaded my iTunes library to my Asus phone and I was looking for an app icon that said music.

Coming from Samsung, they had one, not a lot of bells and whistles, but it was there.

Am I correct to say that the music player for this device is Google Play Music?

Yes, I could download something off of the play store but I can never really trust those and what underlying malware comes with it. at least if it was something released by ASUS, then I know that there were no third party interference.

It's been a while since I started subscribing to Google Play Music, so it's hard for me to test now -- but I recall that after the first time you skip or decline the subscription, the app is supposed to remember and not ask you again.
