I had a system update come up today of about 55 mb, I'm not sure what the version of android was before but now it's 4.2.1 and I see it is running a tad bit smoother!

Other than the smoothness is there any other notable difference?

I updated and my marriage got better, my dead dog Sparky came back to life, and my junk grew 4" longer.

Damn autocorrect, I meant I don't notice a difference yet but will keep paying attention.

I wonder if this might also be an update to plug that infamous Black Hat master key vulnerability.

    Yup, it's smoother.

Widgets don't reload every time I close an app.
Oddly Chrome Beta is a lot smoother on complex websites like DeviantArt.
Swapping apps is faster when multitasking.
SwiftKey keyboard hasn't hung up once like it used too after 7 or 8 hours of up time.
It's almost like a new tablet all over again.

Last piece is has my random reboot problem been fixed? Normally I get 2 or 3 reboots at random a week. Cross my fingers!

Mine hit this morning so not a lot of time using it yet but it's much smoother and snappier so far.....I wonder why this issue of lag went unaddressed by ASUS for so long, does it take that much time to get a fix out? I'm curious not moaning about it as I really don't know, does it seem like it took forever to any one else?

Mine updated this morning, the mouse cursor, if you're using the keyboard dock, now highlights whatever it is on top of, which I found cool and expected. I'll report more later.

Hmm did the update, it was working great. However today, i was listening to TUNEin Radio and I have my tablet charging at same time. I had the screen saver enabled w/e you call it. Now i got the black screen of death.... TUNEin Is still playing but the tablet wont turn on or off, I also can't lower the volume.

Any suggestions on how to hard reboot this thing?

***UPDATE*** after like 30 minutes it finally rebooted. Not sure what the heck happened. Maybe the new TUNEin update caused tablet to crash? not sure.

The tablet has always had an issue of deep sleeping and never waking up without a force shutdown. At least, from my use. For me, it happens more when it's docked on the keyboard.

I noticed there's no lag now when undocking the tablet, especially useful when you're using Netflix and you don't want it to rebuffer.
