Using an app to convert a web file to a pdf file, I have no luck in locating that file on the internal memory,
even after renaming it. Where do these files go?

Welcome to Android Central! It may be stored under a folder associated with the app itself. Are you using a file manager app to search? Look in the root directory, the "/data" directory, or the "/Android/data" directory for any folders named after your PDF converter app or its publisher.

Also, does the PDF converter app allow you to view the PDF that's created? If so, select the PDF and tap the Menu button, or long-press the document in the selection screen, and see if there's a "Details" option that tells you the local directory it's stored in.

Thank you for your reply. I will explore this with the app that I am using.
I am still waiting for my 32gb micro sd, so I can check this better.
