Problem using microSD card with the Zenfone 3 Deluxe

I was not aware of this issue prior to purchasing the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. The phone has dual slots that will support 2 SIM cards or one SIM and one microSD card. The problem is the slots are not interchangeable. The microSD can only be used in one of the slots and that is also the only slot that will accommodate a nanoSIM card. The second slot can only accommodate a microSIM card.

I only have a nanoSIM card (as I took it from another phone), so I could not install a microSD card. I ordered a nanoSIM to microSIM adapter card from Amazon and I hope that will work in the second slot so I can use the microSD card in the first slot.

When I get the adapter I will add a response as to how it worked. This may be a consideration for those considering this phone and wanting to use microSD card for additional memory.

My Zenfone 2 also has the hybrid second SIM/microSD tray. Good for others to know! Any nano-to-micro SIM adapter should work fine, assuming the fit is correct.
