Wifi issues after factory reset - Asus Zenpad (5.0)

Hi guys,

Firstly I admit I'm an Apple fanboy and only know the basics of android...

I have an Asus Zenpad 10 running 5.0. I intend to give the tablet to my son and it'll be his first.

I did a factory reset so it would be fresh for him to use. The problem is though since I did the factory reset I'm having major issues doing anything on wifi. It's painfully slow and a lot of the time it just ends up timing out, I can't even set up Play Store or check for an update. I tethered it to my phone on 4G and it worked fine.

I've tried the usual problem solving; checked my wifi, reset my router, cleared caches and data etc but nothing has worked.

I would be most grateful of some help from you guys....

Moved to the Zenpad 10 forum.

Have you tried it on other wi-fi networks, or only your home network? Review this guide and see if any of the other tips help: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html

I've tried other networks and each time the issue remains. The only time the issue disappears is when I tether

Does it happen in Safe Mode as well? I'm guessing the steps for the Zenpad Z8 will work for the Zenpad 10: Power Up in Safe Mode - ASUS ZenPad Z8 | Verizon Wireless
