I believe there is also a Micro USB to HDMI option actually. It is a little black box that connects (in my case) my PC to my tv through the USB port then an open HDMI port on the tv. I live in Canada & am out of the loop now so am not 100% these devices still exist. The last 1 saw when I was looking before going to the Smart TV option, was a Radio Shack-like store (closed out & dust now) which was asking about $80-90 Before taxes. It was basically the device which had a much too short Micro USB cord that plugged into your PC & then into the device itself. You had to supply your own HDMI cord though.
NOT EXACTLY what you may have been chasing, yet is an option...
