Nook Color Will Not Boot

I can get it into Clockwork Recovery by holding the N button and power button till it boots. I have tried installing and reinstalling 7.1. I have tried wiping and reinstalling 7.1. Everytime I reboot, it shows the splash screen and freezes on a blank black screen.

Any ideas?

BTW, I am not all that experienced with rooting/flashing, etc.

What is the version of clockwork you are using?
What were you doing before this happened?
Have you tried restoring to stock?

What were you doing before this happened? WAS HAVING THE SLEEP OF DEATH ISSUE (BEFORE I KNEW IT WAS A THING), SO I TRIED REINSTALLING CM 7.1 UPDATE
Have you tried restoring to stock? YES, I HAVE TRIED WIPING AND RESTORING--IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO GET TO STOCK?

Thanks for your help. My device is basically bricked, except that I can get it into Clockwork.

Nook Color's are hard to brick. They have Boot SD card priority and if you are getting into CWM then it's fixable.
