Regarding a Nook Colour, 1.4.1 Purchased within the last 14 days. I have a SD storage unit for my files installed.

I left the Nook charging and was away most of the day, returned and unplugged it and worked with it for a few hours turned it off. (Standby)

Started it up again, after a while noted the back lower section, near the "speaker holes", was warm to very warm.

The quick status showed the battery to be charging AC, the battery icon was flashing back and forth between black and white (Charging to discharging??), and the unit had discharged from 100% to 32 %

I did a complete shutdown and then restarted, it showed discharging at 32% remaining. I am now recharging the unit.

Question

1. I have no idea what I may have done to cause this, and ideas?
2. How do I know if the battery has been damaged.?
3. Does the nook wall charger shut down when the unit reaches !00%?

The charger will stop charging when it is finished. If you continue to have problems I would return it and the charger for a replacement under warranty.
