Which SD card?

I'm seeing a few SD card postings.
How about a sticky that would list all the good and bad SD cards tested with the Nookie?

Manufacturer| Capacity| Class | 512K random write| Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------
Wintec | 16GB | C10 | 1.2Mb/s | Buggy, causes crashes
Patriot LX | 16GB | C10 | .8Mb/s | Slower than Wintec! Maybe a bad example.
Lexar | 8GB | C6 | 2.01Mb/s | Froyo SD is working! Do get occasional app failure

That's been my experience, not only is it slow, but causes quite a bit of shutdowns. I don't know if the shutdowns are due to something particular
about the card or if the write speeds are just too slow for the O/S.

*Looks like speed has something to do with the shutdowns or application failures. Might have to try a Class10 8GB or 4GB. Would love to see 512K random from fast microsd card users. I'm not having fun doing the trial and error thing.

I'd also like to see posts regarding SD cards that are performing well/exceptional. I'd be most interested in the performance on Crystal Mark.

I'd like to know which of the cheapest SD cards will get the job done.

Something else I noticed, but haven't tried to test. The Nook itself seems to be a bit slow, transfering a pdf file via USB to the Documents folder was inordinately long. My computer also complained saying a USB 2.0 device would be faster. Is the nook a USB 1.1 device?

If so, what does that mean for SD speed? Wonder if it's also limited.

Regards,

Mike
