Sticks on Loading...

I installed v2.1 Nookie Froyo on a WinTech 8GB class 6 SDHC. It boots up and runs great for about 2 days, then Google services start failing. I then power it down, but everytime I do this and try and power it back up, it sticks on the "Loading..." screen. I even waited a half hour and still stuck. I've tried over and over and finally rebuild the SD and then it works, but I have to re-install all apps, setup email, etc.

1. Any ideas on what might be going wrong.
2. Any way to keep a backup copy of the SD once I'm through building it so if this happens again, I can simply put that backup copy (image) back onto the SD.

Ok, it happened again. Maybe it's something I'm doing. Each time I'm booted into HC from the SD. I then simply hold down the power button, cselect power off. Then remove my SD, boot into the standard Nook to read from. I re-instert the SD until I'm done reading. THen I simply power off the Nook and power back up to boot to the SD but it always sticks.
