I've read all of the stickys and many of the threads about posting and or flashing to CM7.

My issue is that for some reason, my NC will not boot to the SD card.

Perhaps it is an issue with the image written to the card with WinImage, but the files do appear on the card.

Is it possible that the files are being written wrong? Am I missing something?

My mind is turning to mush with all of the reading :)

Thanks in advance for any and all help

ITA, dmac. I'm probably a BIGGER idiot - at least you got THAT far! :-\

All I want is to access my Amazon account on my NookColor. But you have to learn a totally new language to get to that point.

I used winImage to write the clockwork CW 3028 to the SD, then copied cm_encore_full-67, cwmr_3.0.1.0, gapps-gb-20110307-signed.

Did not unzip anything

Attempted to boot to SD card with NC and it booted to stock, showing that the SD was available, and writing files to the SD

I have to have done something wrong as this appears to be too easy to screw up...

Maybe thats the problem, I'm over thinking

BTW using Stock 1.1 NC

Yep, thats one of my goals as well, but I'm so used to the inner workings of Windows that I'm well behind the curve on this...

At least I haven't bricked it yet

Good Luck

Is it possible that instead of choosing to write to the SD, that I needed to choose "restore virtual hard disk image on physical drive" ?

Thats where I got the info from my last post...
I will try that route, but before I was not trying to install CM7 to the SD I was trying to install to the NC.
I'll give the SD a shot and see what happens...

yes, that's what you did wrong. dont write to the SD, you need to select this option:"restore virtual hard disk image on physical drive"

believe me, it took me at least 5 hours to do this, i'm as noob as they come.
