My brother has got a note 3 about four months ago and has noticed that the battery sometimes drains faster than usual while left overnight from 100% at 11 pm and woke up the next morning around 7am to find it at 56%.

This happens occasionally and randomly, about 20 times throughout this four months, the rest of the days at around 95%. Even sometimes with WiFi turned on (he forgot to off it) it was still 95% whereas with everything turned off it sometimes remain as low as 46%. His phone is unrooted. Does anyone have the same problem as well?

Battery log shows android system using 33%, exchange services 29%, screen 7%, cell standby 7% and android OS 7%. I live in Asia though, phone is bought in Asia too, and not from any carriers. Not sure whether it is related to any carriers.

Welcome to Android Central! Some other info would be helpful. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).
