On the face of it it seems kind of silly to have chargers that are so close together in amperage. But there must be a reason, with so many of each on the marker.

Also, anyone know of a decent. dual port USB car charger with dedicated ports delivering 1 and 2 amps respectively?
Not the ususal 3.1 amp type where if u plug two divices each gets 1.5 amps.

    I'll even take one that is 1 & 2.1 amps. ๐Ÿ˜

    1. It depends on the chipset and components used. Some designers have favorite chipsets, or favorite chip manufacturers. Since probably no phone draws more than 2 Amps in normal (not Qualcom Quick Charge 2.0) charge mode, it really doesn't make any difference.

    2. http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen%C2%AE...cUvbUpU4520626 fives you 4.2 Amps shared, so you can draw 2.1 Amps from each port simultaneously - and it's pretty cheap. http://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Xsmart%25...cUvbUpU4520626 is a higher power XSmart Rapid Charger for a few dollars more.

Thanks Rukbat. But i stil wonder, as the mass offering, with a .1 amp difference, doesnt seem to take place on any other level.
And you dont see a lot, if any, 2.2 or 2.3 or 2.4... etc., etc, that come from different manufacturers that might be explain by, "Well, that's just the way that company does it'.

Also, thanks for the suggestion on the Chargers, but I'm looking for one that will charge 1 amp out of one port, no matter what, and two amps out of the other port, no matter how many devices are plugged in.
