why my battery is not getting charged instead of plugging inand switching it on?

my handset micromax BOLT D320 is not getting charged instead of plugging in the charger.This is happening from today'smorning only.

Welcome to Android Central! Possibilities include a failing or defective battery, cable, wall charger plug, microUSB port, or motherboard. Try using a different USB cable, as well as a different wall charger plug. If that doesn't help, try a new battery, if possible with that phone. If none of that works, you may have to bring the phone to a repair shop.
