why is my droid razr hd battery life draining so fast

My droid RAZR HD battery drains rapidly since I got the phone, its not
I got the phone. It's not a new phone though, but it looks fresh.
The main problem is anytime am browsing the net, my phone lasts for
only 3 hours and when am watching videos it lasts only for 2 hours mean
while, my friend has the same phone which he browses,makes calls and
watch movies with yet still it last for 2 days. Moreover,mine charges for so
long(8-10hrs) and drains very fast(3-4hrs).
Please help me solve this problem.

Welcome to Android Central! If you got it used, it's certainly possible that the previous owner didn't take care of the battery that carefully, and now it's starting to wear out.

It'd be helpful to see some battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).
