Why is my battery running down

I charge my phone every night. I close all apps and still my battery is running down. What could be causing this

Is the battery depleting while on charge? If so then your charger cord or adapter might be broken. Have you tried a different charger in the phone?

If you've tried to insert a charger cord that's not compatible with your phone or attempted to put the charger in the wrong way, then you have likely damaged your phone's charger port. Which will mean you'll have to take it in to your provider or send it off to the manufacturer for it to be fixed.

If the phone is turned on, it uses battery - even if it's in "deep sleep". The only way to almost completely stop battery drain is to remove the battery from the phone. (Almost - because lithium batteries self-discharge a little, so even out of the phone, they're draining.)
