We have released a new streaming media player application KalemSoft Remote Player for Android devices. This is a port of our KalemSoft Media Player (except the local playback option), one of the best selling applications for WebOS. The player lets you stream audio and video files from a remote PC using a free streaming server, KalemSoft Media Streamer. The streaming server does light-weight transcoding on the PC, so it can stream pretty much any file format out there.
The player currently runs on Android 4.x and above and the streamer runs on Windows. However, more versions will be supported in the future.
There is a public version of player for testing available at our website here.
The streaming media player is also available at the above website under "Windows" section.
