    I didn't think so. Have you tried it? AT&T's 3G network frequencies are different from T-Mobile's 3G. The G1 is tied to T-Mobile just as the iPhone is tied to AT&T (at least in the U.S.). This will probably change in the future but for now I believe you can only use the competitor's EDGE network.
    Sorry :o

    I was just taking our dreams to a higher level;
    Android OS on the Bold or Storm that works on both T-mo and At&t 3G Networks!

    Oh My God, Kevin!!!!!

    You hit the nail on the head with that one!!!!! I'm not too impressed with the G1 itself, but to have the Android OS on the Bold or Storm would be AWESOME!!!!!
    It also works on both T-mo and At&t 3G Networks!

    I wonder how hard it would be to make a phone that can use either 3g freq?

    We are talking about a device that would be able to work across all networks running android.

    Imagine if we could get android on the storm, a great piece of phone running a great os, I really want that

    I was hoping to find a RR Thread started by Casey to ask:

    I would assume that all you guys would choose the device you own as your favorite.
    A BB user is going to choose BB as their favorite. Iphone user is going to choose Iphone.
    What would be your second choice?

    iPhone = 3 (Casey, Jennifer, Kevin)
    Bold = 1 (Rene)
    G1 = 1 (Dieter)

    Thanks,
    I totally missed that.

    That tells me that no matter what their preferred first device, if they couldn't have the phone they had, they'd prolly get an iphone.

    Interesting.

    when android get started in more devices, I hope the marketing department will do a better marketing them... iphone is successful largely due to marketing and the big apple brand.

    Exactly, why were people lining up at stores to get the iphone when it was released? - Ads!

    People knew the iphone was coming that weren't even phone geeks.
    And I have friends who like cool phones, and yet haven't even heard of the G1.
