I can add -- WiMax was specc'd out for a BlackBerry device over the summer, and all work seems to have stopped for now, at least from the gentlemen in the office I was in contact with.

Yup. It only took them a year and a half just for a webkit browser and its not even in all their device.

Blackberry owners don't need 4g. What are they going to use that bandwidth for? Bbm? Email? Ooooh

I have to sort of agree with the "no need for 4G" on a BlackBerry, although the BB6 webkit browser is better, and you can stream music and video to it. But with so few devices actually running the new OS, and their possible conversion to QNX, it sort of makes sense that they aren't pushing out something in the very near future. Unfortunately, the longer they wait, the further behind they'll get.

But what about people that want to tether? They get left behind.
