    I purchased a BLU VIVO XL+ in 2018. I was informed by the phone box, BLU advertisment, and the sales person that my phone would be updated with PIE 9 by the summer of 2019. Well here it is the end of summer 2020 and I still have not received an update. Needless to say I am still using version 8. Why have I not recieved my update?

    Welcome to Android Central! I can't find much for that specific model -- when I search for "Blu Vivo XL+", it mostly gives me results for the Blu Vivo XI+. You should probably contact Blu Customer Service about this: https://www.bluproducts.com/contact/

    Ok, I think I can safely say the OP meant the XI+, not XL+. The XI+ was released in 2018, and I'm not sure if there was ever an XL+ model. In addition to the link that Galactic Zoo shared above, see also here: https://blucellphones.us/blu-vivo-xi...id-pie-update/
