Budget phone for tween

Looking a budget friendly first phone for a tween and we're Verizon network. Ideas please ☺

The Moto G5 Plus is always a good choice. Currently on sale at Costco for $170 (32 GB).

Looking on the Verizon site, the LG K20V is probably a decent phone (and is "free"). Only 16 GB of internal storage, though, so he or she wouldn't be able to install tons of apps (which might be a good thing).

Hello! I too was going to recommend the Moto G5 Plus. A great phone with good specs, at a spectacular price.
