New galaxy S user on Fido

hi all moved from an iphone to android. I picked up a used Galaxy s SGH-I896 for a decent price. It's a rogers phone I am running on Fido. It appears to be locked to Rogers but worked no problem with my fido account.

so far so good fairly easy to navigate around.


It's running 2.2 baseband I896UXJL1 Kernel 2.6.32.9

The odd time it seams laggy switch screens or apps starts. Any word on 2.3 for this phone?

Any operating tips?
