Reseting after having 2.2 installed

Samsung Captivate.- Allready had Rogers do the 2.2 update for me. Works fine & im happy. BUT - i have a lot of junk on my phone and now i want to clean everything up. If i do the factory reset using the 1 click button under the settings menu option - will the phone go back to 2.1 eclair ? I just want to start fresh & clean but still be on 2.2 Froyo thats all...THANKS.

Factory reset just erases all your apps, nothing more.
