Crashing may not be the exact term for what our Chromebase is doing. First of all, it's automatic updates expired in June. Since it is primarily a "toy" for my husband, I did not plan on immediately replacing it. For the past several days, when awoke from sleep mode, the screen is "shaded" and the cursor moves around the page but is unresponsive when clicked. I have deleted some apps (we had very little on it) then did a complete power wash but to no avail. It works just fine until it goes idle. Every time we use it, we have to initiate a hard re-start. I hate to chuck it because it has always served us well. Is this problem related to the updates ending? FYI, I got a notice that the CB needed to be restarted to install the final update just before this happened. I thought, Hmm... I already had the last update nearly 2 months ago... But I did it anyway. Was I hacked? Any input appreciated. I am chief tech troubleshooter in my world. Oh, if they only knew...
