Auto-Correct not Functioning Properly

Hi. So, I'm testing out 2 Chrombooks, Lenovo N22, and Asus 202SA
Loving Both.

PROBLEM... Autocorrect doesn't work right.

I go into Language Input, I click ON Auto-Correct, and no matter which items I select or deselect, when I go to type in a browser page, it Double-Types ever letter. So, instead of, "Hi everyone," I get, "Hhii eevveerryyoonnee." And although Double-space to type period, it doesn't work.

Everything must be off in order to get normal, non-auto-correct typing.

Does it even work?
I'm on the latest OS.
