Android Central Question

I prefer the Chrome OS operating system for most things but occasionally I use Linux. My Pixelbook GO operating system includes the beta version of the Linux container. I use Chromeboxes on my desktop and wondered if it was worthwhile to upgrade to Chromebox 4 if the OS comes with the Linux (beta). Anyone know ?

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this to the Chromeboxes forum for more specific traffic.

Chrome OS is pretty uniform across all Chromebooks/Chromeboxes (assuming you're not dealing with an out-of-date unit that stopped getting updates a while ago). Since the ASUS Chromebox 4 was just announced, it will support Linux.

I have purchased one chromebox and two chromebooks in 2020, and all three have the Linux (Beta) option in Settings.
