Using Droid 2 Now and wondering on ROM

I'm currently on 2.2, Version 2.2.16.A955

It says I have an Update Available but it fails every time.

How can I get the latest official ROM for this thing?

I just flashed Apex 2.0 its very vanilla, not really my cup o' tea...I need something more themed/custom

The only bug I've noticed is that you can't hear the other person when you get a call every once in awhile but a reboot fixes it.

I just usedmy sisters old droid and used the phones sytem update. It worked but it will take about 10 min to download and up to 20 to update. What exactly happens when you try to update.

Depends on what version of oem you're on or which rom you're running. If you are talking about taking the OTA update, it should bring you to the latest gb version for the phone.
