Text Messaging Question

I'm sure it's just because I'm ed, but on ICS I can't seem to find a way to delete all texts at once, I have to individually delete them one by one. How can you select them all at once?

You can press and hold on the typing screen, which would highlight one or two words. Then pull the little tab beside that highlighter and highlight all the words, then press backspace.
