With I imagine the majority of the Bionic owners having bought their Bionic at launch (as Moto dropped a few phones about a month later), most of us will be up for the phone upgrade within the next 6 weeks or so.

So where are you going next? Or are you staying with the Bionic?

I was very fortunate for Verizon to offer me the upgrade early last week (after much pleading) as my Bionic has essentially broken (lots of apps won't open, touch screen keeps going nuts and stops responding, batteries only lasting a few hours, lots of random bugs appearing over the past couple of weeks). I am hesitant to admit that I am going back to....gulp...Apple...having now got the Iphone 5 (I still love my Nexus 7 though!).

Without turning this into a flame war.....I haven't been the strongest admirer of this phone by any stretch...and what with the LTE dropping constantly before ICS and the whole ICS release debacle...I decided it was either Apple or Nexus 4 so I would always get the updates on time, I just want a phone that works. Went with iphone in the end just because Nexus 4 wasn't on Verizon and I really have got used to the LTE, plus contract is still till September.

Anyway...what are peoples plans? Motorola again....S3....HTC One...something else????

I plan to keep bionic for all of 13 (if possible) and then will look at new phones. I have been less and less excited with android as it keeps evolving too fast and bugs are never fixed. My bionic is an awesome phone and does everything. But it does not do anything particularly well. Get what I mean? I need to see where 5.0 goes before I will commit to another android.

I do like my Bionic, most of the time. I love the replacement batteries, be caused I can not get though the day on a single battery.

New is sometime fun too.

I am still on a 29.00 a month Verizon Unlimited data plan. When I upgrade, I'm told the I will lose that plan. Gives me a reason to keep Bionic long enough to see it upgraded to JB.

Mostly satisfied with my Bionic now, and hope JB gives me good reason to keep it around until at least the end of the summer. I'm sticking with VzW for sure (formerly with AT&T and its coverage leaves much to be desired). Also had a 3G S before going with my first Android. Motorola has been a trusted brand of mine since I was very young, and my parents had their bag phones. For some reason, they are very durable (as opposed to my iPhones). I like the way Android OS has evolved, and I feel like Apple has "jumped the shark" with the iPhone 5. The iPhones may be very pretty, but I feel like their innovations and hardware are falling further behind the Android lineup.

I'm open to other Android manufacturers (particularly Samsung), but I'm really interested in this upcoming "Googorola X Phone."

29.00 a month for unlimited data! Man, I wouldn't give that up either! I think I am paying about 70 for 12gb a month with tethering and that was a one-off special offer.

Glad to see so many are staying with the Bionic, if mine hadn't completely lost the plot this last month I would have most likely kept it for the summer also. I felt like going from the 3GS to Bionic was a huge upgrade but there is not really much at this point in time that would be such a big step forward.

My upgrade's in July, and I'm waiting to see how the SG4 and the HTC One do in the wild, and will probably go to one of them.

I've notice the AC crew is using the HTC One quite a bit. I know they are reviewing it and all, but it's probably a good sign that they keep using it. I hope it comes to Verizon some way. It'll give us another option.

I thought that if you purchased a phone a full price, you can (effetively) keep the unlimited data.

My wife has an upgrade coming up. I was thinking of "upgrading" her to the Galaxy S IV, then hijacking the handset when it come in. When she wants an upgrade, we'll pay full price for a cheaper phone.

That way I can keep my unlimited Data Plan. Really don't want to lose that, it's nice to not care about my bandwidth consumption.

I think I'm going to stick with my bionic until it either breaks or stops functioning. Who knows how long that will be.

I think I'm gonna go with Galaxy S4. My contract is up on May 8th (I bought the Bionic on its launch date), which is about the time GS4 will arrive on VZW. My Bionic has been really slow recently and my headphone jack doesn't work at all anymore (I bought a crappy bluetooth headset to use in the meantime).

given that the bionic has been discontinued 6 months now. going on 7. and that fact that most of us are due for an upgrade.

i don't really think JB will hitting the bionic.

the bionic was the worse phone motorola ever created. it's been nothing but a headache for them. we all know it was 9 months late in being release.

moto wants the phone GONE.

if the phone were as good as you all claim it to be. JB woould have been released a long time ago.

and since you all think the bionic is a really great phone. what would you do with yourselves if you actually had a really decent phone.
cuz i'd hate to see how bad a phone had to be before you all considered it juunk.

6 more weeks. and i'm counting down everyone of them. if my phone has broken by then. since half it's outter edge is gone now.

Sorry your Bionic was bad. Mine has been great. My Bionic is still fast, stable, reliably connected and due for the JB update in Q2. Because yours was not good doesn't mean every Bionic was bad. "Worst phone Motorola ever created" is clearly not correct. Good luck with your next phone. I suspect you have a lot to due with your dissatisfication of the Bionic.

What he said. And BTW jellybean ROMs are already available for the bionic at a higher version than what's. coming in the ota. This phone is a beast and always has been.
