I just got a notification stating that the system has an update available, I am running as followed:
    Version: i510.06
    Model: SCH-I510
    Firmware Version: 2.2.1
    Baseband Version: i510.06 V.EE4, SCH-I510.EE1
    Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9, imnuts@virtualbox #1
    Build number: SCH-I510.EE4
    ROM: AlterBeast
If I do the VZW update what is going to happen? Or what are some suggestions? I like how my setup is now, but if this will enhance performance I would like some feedback before I try on my own. Thank You

I'm running the same thing (PBJT) and wondering if I can let it update or do I have to go back to stock first.

The update will fail if you're not on a stock build. If you like where you are, stay with it. Otherwise, flash back to stock and update

Things could run faster and screen could reload faster when going back to home. Can I just drop ROM and kernel from recovery or do I need to Flash stock through Odin? Or whatever method it get takes I will have to research that bc I've never went back to stock.

You'll need to use Odin in order to flash everything: stock ROM, recovery, and radio. Just using CWM won't replace the recovery or radio (which shouldn't need to be replaced, but typically stock packages are all-in-ones)

    I have..

    Kernel version 2.6.32.9 - imnuts@virtualbox #1

    and Build number
    SCH-I510.EE4

    (No ROM installed, but rooted)

    1. Am I still on the stock build?
    2. If yes, according to Kevin's post (#3), I should be able to update without needing to flash back to stock right?

Please advise (again no ROMs installed, just rooted with the kernel above and the lagfix)

You'll need to disable the lagfix to convert your file system back to RFS, and then replace the kernel with the stock one
