New Maxx HD, can't find ESN/MEID to activate?

Hi, just bought a new Maxx HD and wanna use my old SIM card, need an ESN/MEID code to do so. Any idea where to find this?

The IMEI number is reported in Settings > About phone > Status. Alternatively, you can open the 'access door' on the lower left side of the phone and it should be listed there. Both methods are documented here.

Step 1 works but the Maxx HD doesn't have this door. That's the original variants.

If you are using a Micro SIM from another VZW phone, then all you need to do is make sure the new device is in a pristine state. That is, new or just after a factory reset.
Drop the SIM in and start up the phone.

No need to do anything else.
