Email manual push

I am using aol and yahoo for email. I cant seem to get manual push to work. The directions that I got are not working.

Make sure you have the "background data" turned to on... Otherwise, push will not operate.

i had the same problem...contacted vzw and this is what i was told: if u want to use manual push for email, do not use the preloaded "email apps" as the are set up to only auto push. manually add your email client as u would have to for say, comast.net users. then you can set it to manual push. worked like a charm
