social networking app

Just got my Maxx yesterday. Love it btw. But my SOCIAL NETWORKING APP isn't working. Everytime i open it it says no recent updates and has an exclamation point beside the refresh icon like there is some type of error. Tried deleting FB and twitter accounts and still nothing. Anyone else run into this? Suggestions?

I have the Photon and mine seems to run about 12hrs behind. I can't seem to find anywhere to manually update it. I've noticed this for about the past month.

I run into the error every once in awhile, but it works most of the time.
