    Is it just me? Can you not be on a call and use the internet at the same time? I'm new to the maxx coming from a rezound but that should be standard.

    I believe you can only do it at the same time on 4G LTE. If you only have a 3G signal (CDMA), you can't do both at once.

    I believe the Thunderbolt had multiple radios which allowed this to work while on 3G.

    The reason a TBolt can do it was SVDO support.
    CDG : Technology : Simultaneous Voice and Data (SVDO)

    It's an extension to the EVDO specification some Verizon phones have it, some don't.
    I don't think any Motorola phone does.
