Root question

I am wanting to root my droid razr maxx. Its not a verizon phone. Its a small carrier. Its on 4.0.4. Its 6.16.300.XT908.ACG.en.US. Any help would be appreciated thanks

im not sure that will work for any phone that is not on verizon. what carrier do you have? this may be a question better suited for the XDA forums?

I was looking at it and it says for verizon phones only. Im on a small carrier called Appalachian Wireless. I want to make sure it will work before I try it. Thanks

I'm going to play Devils advocate here. It probably will work just fine as long as it is a CDMA Razr. Of course, you run the risk of it not working just like anyone else who roots their device.

The thing you'll have trouble with is a ROM. They will need to be modified to work with your carrier.

Well. You could always try it and if on the unlikely event it bricks your phone, you should be able to SBF back to stock so long as you can find the stock rom.
