stock Razr Maxx still on 4.0.4

I have a RAZR Maxx that is still on ICS and will not update. Talk to Motorola and they said they pushed the updates to my phone, but still just gives the your device is up to date message.

Reboot the device and try again. Also, check to make sure you are trying to update via WiFi as that can make a difference.

If nothing is working I would suggest contacting Moto again and see if the update can be sent again.

Have tried power cycle and several factory data resets. With and without wifi. Should have mentioned earlier. Sorry for not letting you know that.

Welcome to Android Central! This probably won't work, but worth a try. Manually set your date to some time in the future, like 2020. I remember that this trick actually worked for the Droid Incredible.

Thanks for the help but when I set date forward it changes back by itself. Set it back to 2013 and it keeps date but no luck with updates.

If you're fearless, you can try updating manually: DROID RAZR Utility XT912 Jellybean -- Windows + Mac + Linux (All In One!) - VZW Droid Razr Development [XT912] - DroidRzr.com. I always update manually, because too many people have issues letting the device update on it's own. Good Luck!
