email problem

I had no problem setting up my personal gmail account but im having trouble with my school account. My school email is XXXXXX@temple.edu BUT it is gmail, and only my old droid eris it showed up under the gmail app, synced my calendar and everything just like a normal gmail account. On this phone i set my school email up as gmail, but when i look in the gmail app its not there under accounts, i have to go into the regular email app, and therefore im not getting the option to syn the calendar on my school account. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Set it up as corporate exchange. Username should be your email address. For the password use your password. Server should be m.google.com.
