Activation/sim card questions

I'm getting the Maxx by upgrading my wife's line, but I'm going to take the Maxx and give her my Razr. I'm trying to figure out what I have to do to activate them on the proper lines. A vzw rep told me I need to activate the Maxx on her line first, then swap them out.

Is this how it works?

I was hoping I could take the new sim card out of the Maxx, and put my Razr sim card in, then activate the Maxx on my line. Then, once I'm all set with my Razr, do a reset, put in the new sim card, and activate it on her line.

I'm going to bet you end up buying at least one additional SIM, if you take their advice. Good luck.

The rep was right. They have to activate the Maxx on her line, then switch the two. Both phones will need a new Sim , but they are free so no worries.
