My Droid Razr just recently started picking up a lot of static while making calls from my vehicle, how can I get this to stop?

my droid razr just recently started picking up a lot of static while making calls from my vehicle

while using the bluetooth from my vehicle I have experienced a loud and annoying amount of static. When I use the vehicle's phone through onstar, I do not have any problems. I tried to re-pair the device only to experience the same static.

Since it's pairing by Bluetooth, try a Bluetooth headset with the phone. If it's still noisy it's the Bluetooth radio in the phone. If not, it's the Bluetooth radio in the OnStar. If it only happens when you're in the car, but using a headset away from the car doesn't give you static, something in the car (it's computer, it's ignition system -something electrical) is causing the static.
