Host and actor Regis Philbin dead at 88.

Maybe when I was twelve years old in '68 I would watch Regis Philbin on The Joey Bishop Show where Mr. Philbin was the comic foil. He left that show, I'm winging this memory, when his feelings were hurt or his professionalism was questioned in some manner; I'll research that soon enough. I remember that Mr. Philbin had to give some sort of public address to explain the situation. When Regis and Kathy Lee was at its zenith I caught bits and pieces of it over the years as I worked the overnight shift and would have been unwinding at 9 AM EDST when the show was on. Regis Philbin was decency personified and I appreciated his quick wit. I really believed that Regis would just go on forever.
