2.3.2 Roms? Anyone started for the Epic yet?
- Just saw an interesting article on Engadget. Seems there was a leaked 2.3.2 based rom that was leaked for a Galaxy S model. Has anyone started porting this for the Epic?
Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread leaks for Samsung Galaxy S -- Engadget02-28-2011 06:47 PMLike 0 - BlackHawkA4Drop the BagYea. I just saw this as I'm going to think positively to keep my spirits up from blowing my upgrade on the evo right now and say maybe that's why they threw this garbage at us. But I still doubt it.02-28-2011 06:50 PMLike 0
- Paul627gAC Moderator All-StarAll I can say is there has been a team working over at XDA on a Gingerbread port for some time now. That is all I have heard besides the usual rumors.
I would like to think we will see something eventually. I don't care what anyone thinks, I'm sticking right to my Epic it performs great and still has yet to have its full potentials unlocked.02-28-2011 07:17 PMLike 0 - Cyanogenmod 7 is in the works.
This version has been restarted from the ground up to stay in the Cyanogenmod tree and be certified by CM.
Still no phone/data mode yet.
[Progress Log] CM7 for the Epic4G - xda-developers
The biggest obstacle (from what I can see) is source for the modem from Sprint/Samsung for the CDMA modem. Either they'll have to fix the Froyo modem to work or, wait for a Gingerbread modem source release.02-28-2011 07:57 PMLike 0 -

Sorry if this is a bit out of topic but this comment somehow reminded me of this02-28-2011 11:37 PMLike 0 - Sprint is changing to two levels of premier.
Gold is for customers with monthly fees higher that 89(I think). Before the $10 premium tax, and
Silver is for everyone else. So basically everyone becomes a "premier" customer.
But only gold members get the upgrade every year, silver is every 22 months.
I was very disappointed in that news because that was one of the main reasons I've always stayed on sprint.Officerpolabear likes this.03-01-2011 10:43 AMLike 1 -
1) Backup in CWM
2) Odin to EB13/Root/CWM combo (one flash has all 3 built in)
3) Restore data
After that, it's up to you if you want to flash Roms or Kernels.03-01-2011 10:58 AMLike 0 - It looks like the Devs will be busy soon. Gingerbread for the Galaxy has been leaked.
