Just saw an interesting article on Engadget. Seems there was a leaked 2.3.2 based rom that was leaked for a Galaxy S model. Has anyone started porting this for the Epic?

Yea. I just saw this as I'm going to think positively to keep my spirits up from blowing my upgrade on the evo right now and say maybe that's why they threw this garbage at us. But I still doubt it.

I was thinking about going to EB13, but i don't feel like doing the wipe as I have DK28 and I haven't heard much benefit in doing so. But the leap to 2.3.2 would be pretty major if somebody got a rom out for it.

All I can say is there has been a team working over at XDA on a Gingerbread port for some time now. That is all I have heard besides the usual rumors.

I would like to think we will see something eventually. I don't care what anyone thinks, I'm sticking right to my Epic it performs great and still has yet to have its full potentials unlocked.

Cyanogenmod 7 is in the works.
This version has been restarted from the ground up to stay in the Cyanogenmod tree and be certified by CM.
    Still no phone/data mode yet.

The biggest obstacle (from what I can see) is source for the modem from Sprint/Samsung for the CDMA modem. Either they'll have to fix the Froyo modem to work or, wait for a Gingerbread modem source release.

Wait, if you're a premier customer, can't you upgrade it in one year instead of two? And I heard something about that getting cancelled on April of this year. I hope it doesn't cuz if the 1 year upgrade is still in effect, then I can get the Galaxy S3 (Epic 3?) on December 27th of this year.

Sorry if this is a bit out of topic but this comment somehow reminded me of this

Sprint is changing to two levels of premier.
Gold is for customers with monthly fees higher that 89(I think). Before the $10 premium tax, and
Silver is for everyone else. So basically everyone becomes a "premier" customer.

But only gold members get the upgrade every year, silver is every 22 months.

I was very disappointed in that news because that was one of the main reasons I've always stayed on sprint.

Coming from DK28 to EB13, just backup, flash, and restore. It's not hard.

    1) Backup in CWM
    2) Odin to EB13/Root/CWM combo (one flash has all 3 built in)
    3) Restore data

After that, it's up to you if you want to flash Roms or Kernels.

i agree with you. I am disappointed as well. I have 5 lines and spend $240 per month. Since I have the 1500 anytime any mobile. I pay $130 + TEP+ the others lines. if they keep making more changes I will leave them.
