I think that everyone should run this ROM. After all the delays and bugs, I have fallen in love with the Epic 4G again.

Alright I have Bonsai 2.0.1 with DK28 and EXT4. How do I install this correctly? Can some post me an easy way to do this?

I appreciate the help!

ROM runs great, only problem I noticed was when I went into running services.... that damn DRM service is still running. Seems like that should have been removed?

Removing it can cause media problems. Better to stop it from starting at reboot with Startup Manager app or equivalent.

I've always frozen it with Titanium Backup to keep it from running. I've never removed it though. The only media I play on my phone is music and the occasional Youtube video. I've never had any hiccups, but I'm guessing if you use Samsung Media Hub, you better make sure it's running.

Version 1.0 - Manriki
- initial release
- running at 1.2ghz, use SetCPU to set to 1.0ghz with undervolting
- Known bug: Google Quick Search/search button on home screen behaves improperly - fix coming
- Known bug: kernel not scaling (to 1.0ghz max from 1.2ghz max in SetCPU) correctly - FIXED! DOWNLOAD AND FLASH, use the On-Demand governor!
- Known bug: 24 hour time not displaying correctly, thanks jsheahawk.
- Graphical quirk: few white pixels in some status icons. Will be fixed!

Has anyone encountered any of the bugs? I'm most concerned about the white pixels in the status icons. Let me know if you've encountered this as I'm seriously contemplating flashing this tonight!

The Search button bug can be a bit bothersome, depending on how much you use the universal search. Pressing the Search button on on the home screen simply does nothing. A way around this is to download Google Search from the Market and just make a shortcut/widget to that. I've only noticed the "white pixel" bug while GPS is trying to get a lock (it shows a lit up pixel in each corner of the GPS icon in the notification bar), but it goes away as soon as it gets a lock, so nothing serious.

On another note, I've been using this ROM for the last day or so, and it's pretty incredible. It's a bit more responsive than TER1.5, not by much, but definitely notiecable. Battery life is also a bit better than TER1.5/Genocide 0.3a, once again not by much but noticeable.

I just flashed the google search zip that Paul created for the ACE rom and that fixes the search button. http://forum.androidcentral.com/epic-4g-rooting-roms-hacks/62681-rom-ace-rom-v1-6-a.html#post640328

The fact that the carrier IQ has been removed has def improved battery life for me. I'm ten hours into using my phone moderately ( some texting, few phone calls, and visits to AC) and right now I am at 63 % left on my battery. This is def a rom I am sticking with for a long time.

Interesting, thanks for the heads up on that as I keep the universal search widget on my homescreen.

I'll definitely be trying this!
