Google Talk; where is it?

Well ive done google searches and searched the forum, but im not having any luck.

How can i install Google Talk? It is not listed under my application list and I cant find it in the market or seemingly anywhere else. Is there an .apk for the app perhaps someone can upload or am i being stupid and missing something?

I would suggest reloading the ROM you have. I've never heard of someone not having it. I'm running Syndicate and it has it.

Weird. I dont have it on ACE or on Syndicate! Its not even listed. I JUST reinstalled Syndicate and ACE due to Syndicate taking out my filesystem with the no-journaling aspect.

Let me ask- am I missing something obvious? It SHOULD be listed under my application list or I should be able to put the talk app on my desktop by adding a shortcut right?

NEITHER rom has it, and I havent uninstalled anything on either..

Never mind. I grabbed the Midnight Extras zip and moved the talk.apk to my sdcard- installed it from there. I guess I was struck by two flukes at once?? Installed apk works fine..

Google Talk restore was listed in post #2 of my ACE thread for awhle now. I think I posted it the 2nd day after ACE beta.

I thought that was fixed in 1.7.. I should have checked.. Doesnt explain syndicate though

I replaced Google Search in ACE v1.7 but not Google Talk. The link for Google GTalk, as I have listed has been there for quite a while.
