Re: [ROM][Sprint][JB][08/21/2012] Jellybro CM10 [Nightlies]

Well to be honest im not 100% on why it does it. It does it on my Nexus 7 as well. Its running CM10. Its something to do with CM.

I ran CM10 for ~10 days on my N7 and not once did it do it unless I cleared the dalvik cache manually. What CM rom were you using?!

I have also run ~20 builds of CM10 (Euroskank) on my toro and not once had it clear the dalvik cache automatically upon reboot.

For the Nexus 7, I used only the official gapps from goo.im--that's also the package on the Euroskank site. For the toro, I use 7/23 xoomdev package.

The dalvik cache rebuilding = "Android is upgrading..."

flashed build 5 as the OP says to. It didn't make it past the samsung splash screen. Odin'ing back to el29 and will try again.

How long did you wait? JB takes a notoriously long time to boot due to a variety of checks, notably file systems.

I waited just a bit more than 10 minutes. Was that not long enough you think?

Generally, yes. My only suggest is to try a clean download--and if no dice, then there's something corrupted on your end or the rom's end.

However, with that being said, I once had a JB rom boot after 17 minutes on my Google splash screen. I kid you not.

Yup, that's the standard fix for boot issues--that or a dirty flash.

hmm now that you mention it I cant get past the account setup.. after settings my gmail account up when its supposed to go to the home screen it doesnt.. just shows my status bar with nothing else..

no wiping methods seem to help :(

Does a reboot help?

Also, are GAPPs included or are they separate? If the latter, what package?
