I'm looking to buy a fitness band which tracks heart rate, calorie and sleep which gives additional features like message, call and missed call alert . My doubt is Fitband connects the phone using the bluetooth then it sure gonna affect the battery life of the phone So I need to connect my phone 24x7 ? Much concerned about the battery. Knowledge me and suggestion please. I'm using Samsung S7.

All the bands connect to you phone via Bluetooth but it's not constantly connected. It syncs every once in a while and yes it will lower battery life but not a huge difference. I disabled my fitness band a while back and Bluetooth and it maybe added maybe an extra 30 mins and it was a big maybe because it wasn't a control environment and LTE service wasn't the same. I never retested since Id rather have my watch sync.

You can sync your data periodically anyway to save battery life. It's not like the BT needs to be on 247.
